FORMER RED RIVER ARMY DEPOT SUPERVISOR GUILTY OF THEFT
TEXARKANA, TX – United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a former Red River Army Depot employee has pleaded guilty to theft of government property in the Eastern District of Texas.
JODY L. WILSON, 50, of Ashdown, Arkansas, pleaded guilty to felony theft of public property today before United States Magistrate Judge Caroline Craven.
According to information presented in court, on December 14, 2007, while employed as a supervisor at the Red River Army Depot, Wilson stole various mechanical related pieces of government property, valued at $3,142.32. Wilson was indicted by a federal grand jury on August 5, 2008.
Wilson faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.00. He has also agreed to restitution in the amount of $3,141.32 for the actual cost of the stolen items. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case was investigated by the Red River Army Depot and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Denise Simpson.
