FEDERAL INMATE SENTENCED TO SIX MONTHS FOR NEW FEDERAL VIOLATION
(TEXARKANA, TX) United States Attorney Becky Gregory announced today that an inmate incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Texarkana, Texas has been sentenced to an additional six month sentence for a federal violation in the Eastern District of Texas.
SENEKA WILLIAMS, 30, had pleaded guilty earlier this year to possession of contraband in prison. Williams was sentenced today in Texarkana by United States Judge David Folsom. In addition to the six month period of confinement, Williams was also ordered to complete a three year period of supervised release.
According to information presented in Court, Williams was observed by prison officials with a dental floss container, which he was attempting to conceal. The container was confiscated and was found to contain marijuana.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Denise Simpson.
