DALLAS MAN SENTENCED FOR COCAINE TRAFFICKING
MARSHALL, TX – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 37-year-old Dallas man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
REGINALD LAMAR IRVIN pleaded guilty on Jan. 14, 2009, to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine and was sentenced today to 70 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge T. John Ward.
According to information presented in court, Irvin conspired with others to distribute cocaine in the Camp County, Texas area. Irvin was indicted by a federal grand jury on June 3, 2008 and charged with federal drug trafficking violations.
This case was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Denise O. Simpson.
