HOUSTON MAN SENTENCED FOR COCAINE TRAFFICKING
BEAUMONT, TX – U.S. Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a 33-year-old Houston man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
ELEAZAR BUSTOS MALDONADO pleaded guilty on Aug. 26, 2008, to an Information charging him with being involved in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and was sentenced today to 57 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Thad Heartfield.
According to information presented in court, on Mar. 26, 2008, Maldonado was arrested as a result of an investigation into cocaine distribution in the Houston and Beaumont areas.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Hobbs.
