PITTSBURG, TX MAN SENTENCED FOR FEDERAL DRUG VIOLATIONS
MARSHALL, TX – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 39-year-old Pittsburg, Texas man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
RODRICK TYRONE WILLIAMS pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge T. John Ward.
According to information presented in court, Williams admitted to possessing 23 grams of cocaine on Jan. 9, 2008 in Camp County, which he intended to distribute to others in the area. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on June 3, 2008 and charged with federal drug crimes.
This case was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Denise O. Simpson.
