NEW BOSTON, TEXAS MAN SENTENCED FOR REPEAT DWI
TEXARKANA, TX – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 36-year-old New Boston, Texas man has been sentenced for driving while intoxicated on federal property in the Eastern District of Texas.
RICHARD DOBBS CUNNINGHAM pleaded guilty on Apr. 1, 2009, to an Information charging him with Driving While Intoxicated, Repeat Offender, and was sentenced to 2 years probation today by U.S. District Judge David Folsom. Cunningham must also pay a $2,000 fine.
According to information presented in court, on Oct. 9, 2008, Cunningham was found to be intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle on the Red River Army Depot. Cunningham had previously been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated in Bowie County in 2005.
This case was investigated by Red River Army Investigator Gerald Tavee and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Denise O. Simpson.
