            TYLER, TX – U.S. Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a 43-year-old Trinidad, Texas man has pleaded guilty to methamphetamine trafficking charges in the Eastern District of Texas. 

            CHARLES ANDREW FORD pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine today before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love.

            According to information presented in court, on July 19, 2008, Ford distributed methamphetamine to others in the Kilgore, Texas area.  Ford was indicted by a federal grand jury on Sep. 9, 2008, and charged with federal drug trafficking crimes.

            Ford faces up to 40 years in federal prison.  A sentencing date has not been set.

            This case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
