EAST TEXAS MAN GUILTY OF DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGES
MARSHALL, TX – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 30-year-old Pittsburg, Texas man has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
ARTHUR TREVOR PALMER pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham.
According to information presented in court, Palmer admitted that on Nov. 2, 2005, he possessed 25 grams of methamphetamine in Camp County, Texas with the intent to distribute it to others in the area. Palmer was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 6, 2009.
Palmer faces up to 40 years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Denise O. Simpson.
