TYLER MAN GUILTY OF DEALING HYDROCODONE
TYLER, TX – U.S. Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a 23-year-old Tyler man has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges in the Eastern District of Texas.
JOHN MARK SOLOMON pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute hydrocodone today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Judith K. Guthrie.
According to information presented in court, Solomon and others conspired to distribute 5,000 hydrocodone pills. Solomon was indicted by a federal grand jury on Oct. 7, 2008, and charged with drug violations.
Solomon faces up to 5 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Baldwin.
