OVERTON WOMAN GUILTY OF FEDERAL DRUG CHARGES
TYLER, TX – U.S. Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced that a 53-year-old Overton, Texas woman has pleaded guilty to federal drug crimes in the Eastern District of Texas.
ALICE FAYE WARREN pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine today before United States Magistrate Judge Judith K. Guthrie.
According to information presented in court, since Aug. 2008, Warren has been distributing cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine to others in and around East Texas. A federal indictment was returned on Sept. 9, 2008, charging Warren with federal crimes.
Warren faces up to 40 years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set at this time.
This case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Rusk County Sheriff's Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
