TEXARKANA WOMAN ARRAIGNED FOR BRINGING GUN INTO FEDERAL COURTHOUSE
MARSHALL, Texas – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 39-year-old Texarkana woman appeared in federal court for bringing a gun into the federal courthouse in Texarkana, Texas in the Eastern District of Texas.
VICTORIA FIELDS was arraigned on charges of possessing a firearm in a federal court facility. Fields appeared late yesterday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham, IV.
A detention hearing and preliminary examination has been scheduled for 2:30 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 in Marshall.
An arraignment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
This case is being investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher T. Tortorice.
