GREGG COUNTY MAN GUILTY OF FEDERAL DRUG VIOLATIONS
TYLER, Texas – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 27-year-old Longview, Texas man has pleaded guilty to drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
JEREMY ALAN FURLONG pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine today before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love.
According to information presented in court, on June 30, 2009, Furlong was discovered to be in possession of methamphetamine and related distribution supplies at a Longview motel. A federal grand jury returned an indictment on Nov. 4, 2009, charging Furlong with federal drug trafficking violations.
Furlong faces up to 20 years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case is being investigated by the DEA, the ATF and the Gregg County CODE Unit and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Ann Cozby.
