MARION COUNTY MAN GUILTY OF FEDERAL DRUG TRAFFICKING
TYLER, Texas - U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that a 32-year-old Jefferson, Texas man has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in the Eastern District of Texas.
ROCKY DWAYNE HILL pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine today before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love.
According to information presented in court, from Dec. 2008 to Sep. 2009, Hill possessed methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it to others in the East Texas area. A federal grand jury returned an indictment in Dec. 2009, charging Hill and two others with federal drug violations.
Hill faces up to 20 years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case is being investigated by the DEA, ATF, and the Marion County Sheriff's Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
