RUSK COUNTY WOMAN GUILTY OF DRUG TRAFFICKING VIOLATIONS

TYLER, Texas – A 35-year-old Mt. Enterprise, Texas woman has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking in the Eastern District of Texas announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales today.

Ivana Robinson Adkins pleaded guilty to possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture methamphetamine today before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love.

                According to information presented in court, Adkins traveled to multiple pharmacies in the Eastern District of Texas to purchase cold pills containing pseudoephedrine, all in furtherance of her methamphetamine manufacturing activities.  Adkins was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 5, 2010.

Adkins faces up to 20 years in federal prison for the violation.  A sentencing date has not been set. 

                This case was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Criminal Investigations Division and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank Coan.
