PANOLA COUNTY MAN GUILTY OF DRUG TRAFFICKING VIOLATIONS
TYLER, Texas – A 35-year-old Carthage, Texas man has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales today.
Gregory Eugene Bowman pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine today before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love.
According to information presented in court, on Apr. 12, 2011, Bowman was found to be in possession of about 5 grams of crack cocaine in Panola County, Texas. Bowman was indicted by a federal grand jury on Mar. 11, 2011 and pleaded to an Information charging him with drug violations today.
Bowman faces up to 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
This case is being investigated by the ATF and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jim Noble.
