PANOLA COUNTY MAN SENTENCED FOR FEDERAL CRIMES
TYLER, TX – A 47-year-old Panola County man has been sentenced for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas announced U.S. Attorney John M. Bales today.
Bradley Thomas Boren of Carthage, Texas, pleaded guilty on November 2, 2010, to possession of a List 1 chemical with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, and was sentenced today to 57 months in federal prison today by U.S. District Judge Michael H. Schneider.
According to information presented in court, Boren purchased cold pills containing pseudoephedrine at a Walmart store in Longview, Texas, on December 13, 2008, as well as on numerous other occasions at other stores in the area in furtherance of his methamphetamine manufacturing activities. A 66-count federal indictment was returned by a federal grand jury on April 8, 2010.
This case was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division and the Panola County Sheriff's Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mary Ann Cozby.
