TYLER MEN SENTENCED FOR DRUG CONSPIRACY
TYLER, TX – U.S. Attorney John M. Bales announced today that two Tyler, Texas men have been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking crimes in the Eastern District of Texas. The sentencing hearings were held before U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis.
JAMES LEONARD COLE, 24, pleaded guilty on Feb. 11, 2009, to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute hydrocodone and was sentenced today to 24 months in federal prison.
JOHN MARK SOLOMON, 24, pleaded guilty on Feb. 9, 2009, to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute hydrocodone and was sentenced today to 16 months in federal prison.
According to information presented in court, up until Apr. 2, 2007, Cole and Solomon conspired to distribute hydrocodone in the Eastern District of Texas. Cole and Solomon were indicted by a federal grand jury on Oct. 7, 2008.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Baldwin.
