TARRANT COUNTY MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO DRUG CRIMES
(TYLER, TX) United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a Tarrant County man has pleaded guilty to drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
CURTIS O'NEIL FORD, 31, of Arlington, Texas, admitted to being involved in a conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and the distribution of methamphetamine today during an appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Judith Guthrie.
According to information presented in court, an investigation began in July of 2007 into the distribution of methamphetamine in East Texas by Ford and a co-defendant. A federal indictment was returned on March 4, 2008, charging Ford and a co-defendant with the violations.
Ford faces a sentence of up to 40 years imprisonment and a fine up to $2 million. A sentencing date has not been set at this time.
This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Richard L. Moore.
