GREGG COUNTY MAN SENTENCED FOR FEDERAL CRIMES
(TYLER, TX) – United States Attorney Rebecca A. Gregory announced today that a Gregg County man has been sentenced for drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
JESSE JOSEPH MONTOYA, 27, of Longview, Texas, had pleaded guilty on January 31, 2008, to being involved in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Texas. Montoya was sentenced today to 96 months in federal prison during an appearance before United States District Judge Leonard E. Davis.
According to information presented in Court, Montoya was purchasing multiple ounces of methamphetamine from co-defendants in the Longview area.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard L. Moore.
