WOMAN SENTENCED TO 27 MONTHS FOR CONSPIRACY TO DISTRIBUTE COCAINE AND MARIJUANA
(TEXARKANA, TX) United States Attorney Becky Gregory announced today that an 18 year old woman has been sentenced for federal drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
TENIKA NICOLE SEAL, 18, had pleaded guilty earlier this year to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana. Seal was sentenced yesterday in Texarkana by United States Judge David Folsom. In addition to the twenty-seven month period of imprisonment, Seal was also ordered to complete a five year period of supervised release.
According to information presented in Court, Seal was recruited to transport cocaine and marijuana from Texas to Tennessee. The drugs were transported by being wrapped in cellophane, and placed in the door panels of Seal's vehicle. Seal is alleged to have transported one kilogram of cocaine, and eight kilograms of marijuana.
This case was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Denise Simpson.
