HOLY LAND FOUNDATION (HLF) CONVICTIONS AND SENTENCES UPHELD BY FIFTH U.S. CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS
December 7, 2011
DALLAS — In a 170-page opinion issued today, the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed all judgments of convictions and sentences imposed against all defendants in U.S. v. Holy Land Foundation, et al., announced U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas.
U.S. Attorney Saldaña said, “The Fifth Circuit’s affirmance of the convictions and sentences in this case cements this office’s unyielding resolve to prosecute those who provide financial support to terrorist organizations.”
The Court also dismissed the appeal of the corporate defendant, HLF, for lack of jurisdiction.
