John E. Murphy was named Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas on Monday, April 20, 2009. Mr. Murphy has served the Department of Justice for 35 years spending 33 of those years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas and 15 of those years as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney.
