2005 Agent Awards

In Alexandria, Federal and local agencies providing security assistance to the United States District Courthouse during the trial of U.S. v. Moussaoui were honored.

This office recently honored more than 200 federal, state, and local law enforcement agents and officers at our 2005 Public Service Awards ceremonies. Ceremonies were held in our four Division offices: Alexandria, Richmond, Newport News, and Norfolk. Each year, law enforcement agents and officers are nominated by our Assistant United States Attorneys for extraordinary service and commitment in particular cases to receive this award. These awards allow us to thank – in a small way - the law enforcement agents and officers who put their lives on the line each and every day.

Chuck Rosenberg, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, noted during the ceremonies a theme that ran through each case highlighted – a tremendous cooperation and high degree of information sharing at all levels of law enforcement.

We congratulate this year’s award recipients, and thank all of the law enforcement agents, officers, troopers, and sheriffs that we work with each day for their dedication and professionalism.
