United States Attorney Chuck Rosenberg joined representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Chesterfield Police Department, and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Monday in Richmond, to announce the indictment of James E. Brown, Jr.. Brown was indicted on charges of mail fraud in connection with a multi-million dollar Ponzi investment scheme, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison on the fraud charge and 10 years on the firearms charge. Read more about the case here. |
