Newport News Man Charged for Drug Trafficking
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Dennis W. Rowsey, Jr., 35, of Newport News, Va., was arrested Friday on a criminal complaint charging him with conspiracy and distribution of cocaine and cocaine base.
Neil H. MacBride, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Alex J. Turner, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Norfolk Division, made the announcement after the charges were unsealed. Rowsey faces a maximum penalty of forty years in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, Rowsey allegedly bought and sold powder and crack cocaine from his home in Newport News as well as from a vacant apartment in the Harbour Apartments complex, where he worked in the maintenance department.
This case was investigated by FBI. Assistant United States Attorney Eric M. Hurt is prosecuting the case on behalf of the United States.
