Ryan Souders
Assistant United States Attorney

Mr. Souders graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and a B. B. A. in M.I.S. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  He received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as Chief Notes Editor of The Review of Litigation and as Magister of Phi Delta Phi, a legal honors fraternity.

Prior to law school, Mr. Souders worked as an analyst for a global management consulting firm and as an internet marketing analyst and program manager for a Fortune 150 retailer.

He began his legal career in private practice as Associate Attorney with Baker Botts in Washington, D.C., where he focused on white collar criminal defense. 

In 2008, Mr. Souders was sworn in as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Virginia.  His primary responsibility is the prosecution of federal firearms and drug crimes.
