Tyrone Hill Sentenced to 63 Months in Jail for Distributing Crack Cocaine and Heroin in Springfield, Vermont
Burlington, VT – The United States Attorney for the District of Vermont, Tristram J. Coffin, stated that Tyrone Hill, 42, of Springfield, Vermont, was sentenced today by United States District Court Judge, William K. Sessions III, to 63 months in prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine base and heroin between April and May of 2011. The Court also ordered Hill to serve 4 years of federal supervised release after completion of his prison term.
According to Court records, during the spring of 2011, members of the Southern Vermont Drug Task Force purchased crack cocaine or heroin from Hill, or his associate, on 8 separate occasions in Springfield, Vermont. Hill traveled to New Jersey to buy the drugs and drove back to Vermont to distribute them.
Hill was arrested in Springfield, Vermont, on May 31, 2011 and has been confined to jail since that date. Hill pled guilty to Count 1of a nine count indictment – conspiracy to distribute cocaine base and heroin – on January 19, 2012.
