COLCHESTER DRUG DEALER CHARGED AGAIN
The Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont stated that Clint G. Walker, age 31, of Colchester, appeared in federal court today on a federal drug dealing charge.
According to a Criminal Complaint filed by the DEA on July 30, 2009, an investigation revealed that Walker had been selling Oxycodone, an opiate, during 2008 and 2009. In 2003 Walker was sentenced to two years in jail on a federal conviction for cocaine trafficking.
At the initial appearance today before U.S. Magistrate Judge John M. Conroy, the court ordered Walker detained pending trial, citing prior federal and State drug felony convictions.
Walker faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment. Acting United States Attorney Paul J. Van de Graaf cautions that the information contained in the complaint constitutes allegations only at this time and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The case was investigated by the Colchester Police Department and the DEA. The United States is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Darrow.
