On September 7, 2011, the United States Attorney’s Office hosted an Observance of the Tenth Anniversary of September 11th terrorists attacks. Guest speakers at the event included Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Chief U.S. District Court Judge Charles Clevert, Jr., and United States Attorney, James Santelle. Family survivors conducted a candle-lighting ceremony and a reading of the names of the Wisconsin victims that died in the terrorist attacks. Visitors to “Reflection Room” were able to view various materials that memorialized those individuals that died on 9/11, and to recognize Wisconsin-based members of our Armed Services who have served actively in the global war on terror in the past decade. Approximately 250 people attended this event.
