Madison Man Sentenced for Distributing heroin
Madison, Wis. - John W. Vaudreuil, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Lashon Ransom, 40, Madison, Wis., was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Lynn S. Adelman to three years in federal prison, to be followed by six years of supervised release, for distributing heroin.
On January 29, 2014, Ransom pleaded guilty to distributing heroin in November 2013. At the time of his arrest, he was on probation following a felony drug conviction in Dane County Circuit Court in August 2013.
The charge against Ransom was the result of an investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Dane County Narcotics Task Force. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Julie Pfluger.
