Inmate Sentenced For Unlawfully Possessing a Weapon
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 30 year old federal inmate was sentenced on February 11, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.
United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that KELLY KIRKWOOD entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with possessing an object that was designed to be used as a weapon on June 25, 2008, at USP Hazelton. KIRKWOOD was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be consecutive to the sentence he is currently serving.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at FCI Hazelton.
