Triadelphia Resident Indicted on Child Pornography Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 35 year old Triadelphia, West Virginia, resident was indicted on October 7, 2009, by a Federal Grand Jury sitting in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that CHRISTOPHER LAMB was indicted on a one-count Indictment. The Indictment alleges that LAMB possessed a computer disk and other material containing images of child pornography on November 5, 2008, in Triadelphia, that had been transported in interstate commerce.
If convicted, LAMB faces a maximum penalty of ten years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
LAMB had his initial appearance before Federal Magistrate Judge James E. Seibert on October 7, 2009, and was released on bond. A February 2, 2010, trial date has been set.
The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri. The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
It should be noted that the charges contained in the Indictment are merely accusations and not evidence of guilt, and that each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
