Clarksburg Resident Sentenced to 5+ Years
for Distributing “Crack” Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a School
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 22 year old Clarksburg resident was sentenced on October 8, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that TIMOTHY ROBERT WILSON was sentenced to 71 months imprisonment to be followed by six years supervised release. WILSON entered a plea of guilty on July 6, 2009, to aiding and abetting the distribution of “crack” cocaine within 1,000 feet of Washington Irving Middle School on October 2, 2008.
WILSON is in federal custody.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Harrison/Lewis County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, the Bridgeport Police Department, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
