Buckhannon Resident Entered
Guilty Plea to Methamphetamine Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 34 year old Buckhannon, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on September 19, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that BRUCE ALAN DAVIDSON, JR., entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to manufacture more than 50 grams of substances containing methamphetamine from the Fall of 2007 to July 7, 2009, in Upshur County.

DAVIDSON, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of five to 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Stephen D. Warner. The case was investigated by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department and the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
