Two Sentenced For Their Roles
In “Crack” Cocaine Activity in Fairmont

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Two defendants were sentenced on September 15, 2009, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney Sharon L. Potter announced that:

CHERYL L. GOFF, age 45, of Fairmont, was sentenced to 262 months imprisonment to be followed by four years supervised release. GOFF was convicted at trial in May 2009 on two counts of an Indictment. Specifically, GOFF was convicted of conspiring with Steven C. Green and others to possess with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine in October 2008 in Fairmont; and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises in October 2008. GOFF is in federal custody.

STEVEN C. GREEN, age 39, of Marion, Indiana, was sentenced to 97 months imprisonment to be followed by four years supervised release. GREEN was convicted at trial in May 2009 on one count of an Indictment charging him with conspiring with Cheryl L. Goff and others to possess with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine in October 2008 in Fairmont. GREEN is in federal custody.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
