Newell Resident Sentenced for
Possession of Child Pornography

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 39 year old Newell, West Virginia, resident was sentenced today (January 6, 2010), in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that CRAIG SHADERLINE was sentenced to 41 months imprisonment to be followed by five years of supervised release. SHADER LINE entered a plea of guilty on August 24, 2009, to one count of possession of child pornography from April 16, 2007, to April 30, 2007, in Newell by possessing a computer disk and other material containing images of child pornography. SHADERLINE, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri and was investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service.
