Weston Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 21 year old Weston, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on August 17, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that LINDSAY HAMON was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. HAMON entered a plea of guilty on May 5, 2010, to one count of knowingly and willfully making materially false and fraudulent statements on October 24, 2008, about the possession, concealment, sale, and disposal of stolen firearms by Joshua Butcher. HAMON was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
