Federal Inmate Sentenced For
Forcibly Resisting Officers with a Shank

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 34 year old federal inmate entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced on February 9, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.

Acting United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that JONATHAN HEILIGH entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with forcibly resisting officers with a dangerous weapon on August 25, 2009, during an altercation at USP Hazelton. HEILIGH was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be served consecutively to the sentence he is currently serving.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David E. Godwin. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services at USP Hazelton.
