Defendant Enters Guilty Plea to
Drug Distribution in Ranson
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 36 year old defendant entered a plea of guilty on June 23, 2010, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
United States Attorney Betsy C. Jividen announced that FERNANDO BUSTROS-FLORES entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of cocaine hydrochloride, also known as “coke,” on April 5, 2010, in Ranson, West Virginia.
BUSTROS-FLORES, who is currently in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber. The case was investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The Task Force consists of officers from the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Martinsburg Police Department, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.
