Another Saunders’ Co-Conspirator Sentenced
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - Another co-conspirator of Robert “R.J.” Saunders was sentenced on November 1, 2010, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. for his role in the drug ring.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: GREGORY TSORAS of Wheeling, West Virginia, was sentenced to 3 years probation, with the first 5 months being served under home detention. TSORAS entered a plea of guilty on September 2, 2010, to one count of illegal use of a communication facility on July 2, 2009, when TSORAS telephoned Saunders regarding the distribution of marijuana.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John C. Parr. The case was investigated by the Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force. The Task Force consists of officers from the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
