Pittsburgh Resident Sentenced on Heroin Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 25 year old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident was sentenced today (September 7, 2010) in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that DANE CHILDS was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. CHILDS entered a plea of guilty on May 19, 2010, to the distribution of heroin on September 3, 2009, in Monongalia County.
CHILDS is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley. The case was investigated by the Mon Valley Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Morgantown Police Department, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
