Sutton Resident Enters Pleas of Guilty
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 37 year old Sutton, West Virginia, resident entered pleas of guilty on September 27, 2010, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull:
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that JOHN CASEY SARTIN entered pleas of guilty to one count of conspiracy to use the United States Postal Service and one count of use of the United States Postal Service to facilitate the distribution of Fentanyl and Hydromorphone from January of 2007 to December 5, 2007, in Sutton. SARTIN, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of four years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000 on each count.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn A. Morgan and was investigated by the United States Postal Service and the West Virginia State Police.
