Two Eastern Panhandle Residents Enter Guilty Pleas
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Two Eastern Panhandle residents entered guilty pleas on April 22, 2011, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
DUANE CLARKE, age 39, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Indictment charging him with possession of child pornography, which was located on two computer drives at his residence on September 22, 2009. CLARKE, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti and was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security - Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
DEVON ANTHONY GORDON, age 20, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine in Martinsburg on May 4, 2010. GORDON, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti and was investigated by the Martinsburg Police Department.
