Bunker Hill Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Disposing of Stolen Firearms
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 43 year old Bunker Hill, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty today (April 5, 2011) in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that RICHARD ANDREW ZOMBRO entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with disposing of stolen firearms in May 2010, which he took from his employer’s home while working as a handyman.
ZOMBRO, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives; and the Department of Homeland Security - Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
