Fairmont Resident Enters Plea of Guilty to
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 40 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty today (August 23, 2011), in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that STEPHEN KOSKI entered a plea of guilty to one count of embezzling monies, funds and other assets of the labor organization from April 2006 to April 2008, in the amount of approximately $1,500, by using the Union’s credit card for personal purchases, while KOSKI was serving as the secretary-treasurer of the Machinists, AFL-CIO, Lodge 1027.
KOSKI, who is on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $10,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and was investigated by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Labor-Management Standards.
