Fairmont Resident Enters Plea to Crack Cocaine Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 46-year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on December 2, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: DELANO GASKINS entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of crack cocaine in Marion County on June 29, 2011. GASKINS, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $1,000,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Monongah Police Department.
