Fairmont Resident Sentenced on Firearm Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 40 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on January 10, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that VINCENT ROBINSON was sentenced to 57 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. ROBINSON entered a plea of guilty on June 10, 2010, to a one-count Information charging ROBINSON, a convicted felon, with knowingly possessing a firearm on May 17, 2009. The sentence imposed is to be served partially concurrent with a sentence ROBINSON is currently serving for state parole revocation.
The case was prosecuted under the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
