WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 40 year old Suwanee, Georgia, resident was named in an Indictment returned by a Federal Grand Jury sitting in Wheeling, West Virginia, on June 7, 2011.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that STEPHEN J. KOSKI was named in a one-count Indictment. The Indictment alleges that KOSKI, while serving as the secretary -treasury of the Machinists, AFL-CIO, Lodge 1027, embezzled monies, funds, and other assets of the labor organization from April 2006 to April 2008 in the Northern District of West Virginia.
If convicted, KOSKI faces a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a fine of $10,000 on the Indictment.
The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar. The case was investigated by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Labor-Management Standards.
