Two Eastern Panhandle Residents Enter Guilty Pleas
to Drug and Firearm Charges
MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Two Eastern Panhandle residents entered guilty pleas on March 10, 2011, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
MAURICE DANIEL BUSH, age 30, of Inwood, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base on November 4, 2010, in Inwood. BUSH, who is in custody, faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a fine of $4,000,000.
NATHANIEL TODD MCCORMICK, age 30, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Indictment charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm on October 8, 2010, in Berkeley County. MCCORMICK was previously convicted of 2nd degree robbery in Berkeley County Circuit Court and was prohibited from possessing a firearm. MCCORMICK, who is in custody, faces a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti and were investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
