Pittsburgh Resident Indicted by Federal Grand Jury
on Bank Robbery Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - A 32-year old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident was named in an Indictment returned on October 4, 2011, by a Federal Grand Jury sitting in Wheeling, West Virginia.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:
JEREMY T. DUGAN was named in a one-count Indictment charging him with the bank robbery of First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union in Elm Grove, West Virginia, on September 2, 2011. The Indictment also contains a Forfeiture Allegation wherein the United States seeks to forfeit the $5,900 in United States currency stolen by the defendant from the credit union. If convicted, DUGAN faces a maximum exposure of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. This case will be prosecuted by by Assistant United States Attorney Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
It should be noted that the charges contained in the Indictment are merely accusations and not evidence of guilt, and that each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
